One of the signature programs for T.E.N. is Teaching and Leading for Equity, which is a foundational 4-part series for faculty, researchers, mentors, and higher education staff. This series grounds participants in a shared language, framework, and history that informs strong pedagogical practice. Each interactive workshop is scheduled for 2.5 hours and includes learning, reflection, and application. Participants are encouraged to explore how this curriculum applies to their practice, their classroom, their leadership, and their colleagues. This foundational offering is on pause for the 2022-2023 academic year, as we introduce a level 2 version.
After much success with the signature foundational workshop, T.E.N. is now offering
Teaching and Leading for Equity 2.0. This 5-part series is for faculty, researchers, mentors, higher education staff, and students who have completed the foundational series, or comparable training in how racism operates and understand antiracist/racial justice frameworks. In 2.0, participants build on and delve further into the application of the racial equity principles and incorporate them into their personal, cultural, and institutional goals related to their spheres of influence. Participants engage directly in strategy building and practice that helps them:
- identify or deepen racial equity goals
- workshop challenges
- cultivate tools for ongoing learning, reflection, and application
